This series is beyond my words. The Ram Chandra series contains the purity, emotion, sensitivity and sanctity of our Vedic & mythological culture.

The Secret of the Nagas is the second novel with fiction of the Shiva trilogy series by the Indian author Amish Tripathi. The story takes place in the imaginary land of Meluha and narrates how the inhabitants of that land are saved from their wars by a nomad named Shiva.

Train to Pakistan is a historical novel by writer Khushwant Singh, published in 1956. It recounts the Partition of India in August 1947 through the perspective of Mano Majra, a fictional border village.
A good read since it really kept it's flavor till the end. I was startled especially with the ending it had. Also the hardships people had to go through due to partition is immense and unimaginable. This revolves more around the nature of people at that time.
